-is Janie’s first year as Commissioner.  She has been managing the books as the league's Treasurer for a few years now, and has been the League’s Charity/Volunteer Event Coordinator since 2007. In her "free time" this summer she will be training for & participating in the Warrior Dash, volunteering with Big Sister, going to Red Sox games, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. \\ \\ She is looking forward to organizing several smaller charity events and volunteering opportunities this season, and can't wait for another great year of softball.  She can already taste the watermelon and smell the brats on the grill.  YUM!
+Janie started playing in the league in 2004, when it was still part of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council.  She has been volunteering in various roles with MBSL since it started as its own non-profit corporation in 2007, and has been an acting Co-Commissioner/Commissioner since 2010.  \\ \\  In her free time this summer she will be going to Red Sox games, hiking and camping, and, generally, spending as much time outdoors as possible. \\ \\ She is looking forward to another great year of softball.  PLAY BALL!
